Objective
  • To incentivise project consultants to promote MiC adoption to private building project clients by recovering the additional cost and effort for the design and implementation of a MiC project.

Key Features
  • Funding Ceiling: HK$5,000,000 or 15% of the fee, whichever is the lesser (for 6 to 15 storeys)
  • Funding Ceiling: HK$7,500,000 or 15% of the fee, whichever is the lesser (for 16 to 30 storeys)
  • Funding Ceiling: HK$7,500,000 or 30% of the consultancy fee, whichever is the lesser (for 31 storeys or above)
  • Funding Ceiling: Additional HK$1,000,000 to encourage innovative design, smart approaches and best practice
  • Funding Scope: Additional costs incurred by project consultant in implementing the MiC Project
  • Funding Mode: Direct financial subsidy per-project
  • Applicant shall provide proof such as BD’s consent to commence superstructure works of the MiC building and commencement of MiC module installation on site for reimbursement purpose
  • Applicant shall provide BD’s approval of the General Building Plan and Superstructure Plan of the MiC project together with the funding application
  • Applicant shall submit an agreement with all other consultants engaged in the MiC project with respect to the sharing of funding grant with the fund applicant.
  • Eligible MiC projects shall:
    1. involve a building with 6 storeys or more;
    2. occupy at least 60% of Gross Floor Area of EACH typical floor for MiC adoption;
    3. occupy at least 5,000m2 of Gross Floor Area for MiC adoption; and
    4. have MiC module installation commenced on site after 1 July 2020.
  • The additional subsidy to general consultant and the subsidy on engaging specialist MiC consultant are not mutually exclusive
